Just a quick one. Sorry its not technical

Is there a new GN 8 coming out or is it safe to buy the current edition as I need one.

I read somewhere on the forum that a new one was coming out I think.

Thanks

Yes, that's the latest, the IET had a paragraph on their site saying that a BS7671:2008 amended edition was being compiled.

That was over 2 years ago so it looks like they'll save it to incorporate amendment 1.

...and the comment inside the front cover also noted that the amendments would be freely available to download, when available, so the 2007 reprint is still the latest as far as I know.

Tony, you know you can sign up to get free 14-day access to all the IET technical publications including GN1 thru 8? I would never suggest that during those 14 days you 'print to PDF' and save copies of them all :)

Just had a look at that big online book seller to see how much they were charging and it has for the princley sum of ÂŁ29.50 what is described as for pre order Paperback (28 Feb 2012) which I guess means there is either a reprint or new edition coming out in 3 weeks. Actually its described as second edition if that helps!

I hope you mean 2011?
