After some info if anyone has any experience with Hager panel boards and MCCB's. Have a couple of large supply installs and been getting prices from different makes.
Been using hager for a while on small boards and switchgear which seems quite good as i know most of the range was changed a while back but never tried hager in the past for large stuff as normally i use merlin/square D.(Schneider now to you and me)
As said I have two 400A new installs coming up in the next few weeks and the pricing is very cut throat so I may not have a choice but to give them a go but wanted any info (good/bad) which may give me a heads up on any probs with them. especially knowing how difficult the local DNO can be round here.

ive used the 3ph industrial boards and my only comment is the permanent live pins without lock off, like yourself im a schneider man, you can get blank buspin ways that cover live pin and fit through cover aswell to blanc the lid off, but i hate them much easier to lock pins off my experiences were 6 yrs ago and i know mcb's are already obsolete for it but they have one that fits if you strip the base slider off first, end of day you pay for what you get and also future proofing too, a schnieder mcb fits an isobar4 from 10yrs ago as good as it fits a new panel, maybe you could price too approaches and explain the advantages of spending a little more. which wholesalers do you source your schnieder from i might be able to suggest a better source with higher discounts.

And in addition regards mccb panel boards, ive not really had issues with these visually they look ok external but very basic if i remember internal with again live stubbs on unused ways but this was again 6yrs ago so things may have changed?

Yes same here, the isobar is good on the the mcb boards but from what i've seen most of the panel boards seem much alike generally.
Its just on these couple of jobs i have to keep in budget so may have to give the hager a go.
Learnt an interesting fact though that Hager was the first one to introduce the MCB to boards. Apparently it was a family run business and still is and Hager is there name.

The ACB, Charles Grafton Page may just argue the point 1836.
The MCCB, Brown, Boveri & Cie 1924.

To be honest as to your choice I’d stick with Merlin.

I think Charles may have been a bit too dead by the 50's to be introducing them into modern style boards :)

Yes Merlin are good and if cost was not an issue that would be the way I would go, In saying that their lead time is the longest and the highest cost out of all the manufacturers which i found strange, Its not like its uncommon kit.
