Halolite 12V trannies.

Evening chaps!

Installed 9 x 12V downlights last week with Halolite trannies.

Now, strange thing here:

When they are switched on from cold, one lagged by around a second. Perfectly ok when they are warm though.

So, i swapped the transformer for another and that cured that problem, only to find, another fitting started to do exactly the same thing even though it was fine before!!!!!

All connections good, feed taken from switch.

Anyone have similar probs and may be able to throw some light on this mysterious occurrence?

Yes I bought a load from screwfix same problem, in the end I changed them all to IBL ones no more problems.

Funny thing is, i got these from my usual wholesaler!!!

Obviously buying cheaper.

Had similar problems with those myself and they dont last that long either,steer clear.

I've had to use Halolite at short notice, they don't do what they say on the box. it's Aurora's poor relation and it shows. IBL or Aurora as mentioned will be good as gold
