Hammerite, how hot can it stand?

Slightly off electrical, but does anyone happen to know the max temp that Hammerite can run to before it flakes off or burns? Wondering if I can repaint the gas BBQ with it!

I'd use stove paint, it's silica based and literally bakes on with the heat.

Hammerite won't stand bbq heat, i know because i tried i used a bbq spray tin from the local hardware shop, it dried off to a nice satin and looked pucker, til some cock borrowed the bbq and it fell off his pickup on the road smashing it to bits! I was not amused! I did get a lovely outback out of it though

I use stove paint on downlights when interior designers want something a bit different

almost did with the last one, got all the lights done in the shop then they asked for the fluorescents to be dimmed ahhhhrrr on a whim!.
