So due to a roller coaster of a year, I've been absent from the trainee section for a while, and would like to get back in the game and up to date.
I've been wondering if you could help me out, When installing SWA how do you go about calculating the CPC to earth the armour via a fly lead, would you use the adiabatic equation for this or is there a different method?

Thank you all.

You would usually use at least the size of cpc used for the rest of the circuit, especially if the armour is the cpc, but nothing stopping you from calculating it using the adiabatic equation, just remember to use the appropriate value of disconnection time and fault current for the location of the fly lead or you can select the size from table 54.7.
