hi all, got a little problem i can't get my even littler head around.

The sparks that helped on the first fix have left me an intermediate switch that is also needing to be a 3 gang switch, for the controlling of stair lights. How am I supossed to get the intermediate to work, as 3 gangs have only 3 terminals on each switch, not the four.

I have seem a mini grid switch which would allow me to have an intermediate switch with 2 2way switches, but was just wondering whether there is an easier way.

Thanks.

Thanks guys for your replies, sorry for the late reply, been having a little break in spain.

The switch needs to be a 3gang switch, where two of the switches are 2 way switches and the other an intermediate.

If you use the Click range, the modules in the switches can be swapped out.

Therefore, you can purchase a 3 gang and an intermediate, and swap out one of the modules from the 3G for the one out of the intermediate switch.

I have seen these, and that was what I was thinking would solve it, but was interested to know whether there is another way that i could have achieved this sort of switching, but having a basic 3gang 2way.

I know if the customer had gone for a rewire, it could have been altered but it was already an intermediate light switch, and the new lights I'm installing she wants to switch on and off from the same switch.

I agree only way to do it is a grid switch with 2 x 2way modules and 1 x intermediate but be wary most 3 gang grid switches only fit a 2 gang backbox and a 3 way light switch will fit a 1 gang backbox, which one is fitted?
