Discuss Heat alarm? in the Security Alarms, Door Entry and CCTV (Public) area at ElectriciansForums.net
Hi Steve, To comply with the Building Regulations Part B, Fire Safety, a heat alarm or detector is not required if the kitchen is separated from the circulation area (eg. hallway) or stairway by a door. If the areas are not separated by a door then a heat alarm or detector would be required. However, as a kitchen is a high fire risk area, in my opinion it is desirable in all circumstances. See EGBR 10.2 and Appendix C for further guidance.Hi Guys,
