Hello
Has any one ever seen or installed a heat proof light? The customer wants a light fitted in very close to his coal stove IMO i dont think its needed as the flames should provide plenty of light but he wants one, the light its self wont be exposed to flames it will simply have a high ambient temp
Thanks in advance.

although youve give us an idea you really need to find the temperatures it may be exposed to before we can suggest suitable if available fitting, also to remember if exposed to very high temps then you may need to wire in bare micc cable as the glanding cabling, sleeving etc will also need to be of heat resisting materials. What initially was a simple request can turn into a expensive job.
