Discuss heat shrink V cold shrink in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net

Dear Martin
Thanks for your enquiry about cold shrink products. We have not tested the
material for burial in plaster, so unfortunately this is an unknown for us.
Usually a cold shrink splice would be protected by a duct or cable tray.
The smallest diameter tube we have would be shrinking down to 6.8mm
(Silicone rubber) or 7.8mm (EPDM rubber)
Unfortunately, it seems that cold shrink may not be suitable for your
application for these small wires to be buried in plaster.
If I can help you with any other cable accessories please let me know, I
can also arrange for a product catalogue to be sent to you if required.
Best regards
Rachel
