Hi guys and gals.

I need to move a light switch and reading through some of your previous posts about extending cables, crimping and heat shrinking the joints sounds the best way to go.

How much heat do you have to apply, are we talking hair dryer temperatures or will I have to go out and buy a heat gun?

Thanks

Heat gun m8, the hair dryer won't touch it. My m8 uses one of those gas powered soldering irons brilliant little tool, alternatively you could just use a normal electric soldering iron with a heat deflector attachment.
