A 2.5 A hall heater spurred at 5A from a light switch, took me awhile to figure out how to isolate it as I was knocking of every heater circuit in the home, so apart from incorrect circuit identification and all the ramifications therein, I have C2
opinions

Hum..... lets say 10 rooms on the circuit, so 10 x 100w lamps = 1Kw = approx 4A

Add heater @ 2.5A = 6.5 A

No code for me, unless its not earthed!

Fair comment guys, I was thinking,314.2 but point taken, maybe I was ****ed of running in out the hall for a hour, so label it up and forget it

You should have been around in 1951.

That was the year Mum & Dad bought the house that had a Fuse Box with two fuses in it - Line & Neutral and only one circuit coming out of it and that was lighting BUT some of the light switches had 2 pin unshuttered sockets built into them so you could plug in your electric fire, washing machine, electric iron or anything else whether it had a plug on it or not!

What code would you fancy giving that????
