Does anyone know how I can resolve the following problem .

-Two rooms are fitted with plumbed underfloor heating.
-Room one has own thermstat wired to call 4 wire Actuator on manifold.
-Room two also has own themostat wired to call seperate 4 wire actuator on
manifold.
-Second switch wire on both actuators linked to call pump and zone valve.
-Zone valve then calls boiler.

Problem is that when one thermstat calls its own actuator this back feeds on second switch wire to other actuator.

How can I seperate them in a way that they both can still call the one zone valve ??

You need 2 relays....energise each with one of the 2 actuator switch wires. On the N/O contacts of the 2 relays link a perm live to one side of each, and link the other side of each to the zone valve.

What voltage is the system? as obviously you need to make sure the coil is suitable for the job...

I'm guessing 230v from your post if it's operating the zone valve

Could do with a little more info on the relay and where to obtain.
Not seen or used anything like before.
Would I need an adaptable box etc to mount them in?

Any decent wholesaler will stock them....mount them in a suitable adaptable box on a bit of din-rail....They come in two parts, the base which you wire to,and the relay which just plugs into the base.
Dont be frightened by the number of terminals. There are two coil terminals, and two or more sets of two way contacts..(Common,normally open and normally closed)...common- normally open contacts close when the coil is energised.

Thanks. Just another quick question.
If supply to FCU in 2.5 t/e I assume ok to use 1.5t/e and 1.5 3c+e for connecting to thermostats, zone valves and 3c+e back to boiler for L,N,E and SW.

Boiler about 6m from UFH manifold so FCU at manifold and 3 pole isolator on the 3c+e at the boiler

You need 2 x 230v coil bog standard relays with N/O..N/C contacts.......job done.

Hi Wirepuller,
looked for "bog standard relays as you described. Too many to choose from so not sure which or where from.
Can you help. Tried Edmundsons and they have sent two rail mounted contactors 20A ??
