Hi, I'm David aka Wilko. I'm just starting out on electricians work in UK, having arrived here from Australia 10 years ago for an office based electrical engineering design job. I did an electrical apprenticeship in 1876 - no wait it was 1976 I think. I was employed by Govt and probably because of all my stuff ups they packed me off to college where I studied electrical engineering. Anyway, long story short - last year my boss thought he didn't need me anymore so now I'm going back to my roots. I've done the 17th ed regs and building regs. I'm pretty good at testing and fault find/fix but a slow methodical builder. Next week I'll be entertaining an inspector for the afternoon to see if I can be called competent ... that's sure to be fun ... Any advice greatly appreciated
