Can't beat doing things arse first eh? Thanks to all who've replied to my threads, it's appreciated. Now to the introductions...
Hi all, my name is Rich (though I go by the name of chocca on t'interwebthingy). I did my appenticeship more years ago than I care to remember; none of these new fangled NVQ's and Part P's etc. - twas all City and Guilds to level 3 (when they actually were worth something). Since then I've added analogue and digital electronics to part 3, TV and audio to part 2, 16th edition, 17th edition, 2391 (before they split it up) IPAF for scissor lifts, self propelled booms and vehicle mounted platforms and my 25 metres swimming cert.
I work for a company that "do" retail park lighting which is great in summer and not quite so good when you're 40 foot in the air in a snow storm - although we are quite happy to dabble in commercial and industrial work too. We seem to be taking on more and more "tree hugger" stuff at the moment, like LED lighting and occupancy controlled (or both).
