Total electrical noob here. Please bear with me.
I have a 100V toaster oven in which I plugged into an outlet of 220V. Needless to say, the heating element (tungsten quartz tube) blew.
I would like to know, if I replaced the heating elements with 220V ones will it work directly with the 220V outlet? Or will other components of the toaster oven give in (thermostat, switch, timer or the wiring)?
The toaster is rated 100V, 1000W. It has two heating element, each labelled 100V, 400W.
Thanks!
