Total electrical noob here. Please bear with me.

I have a 100V toaster oven in which I plugged into an outlet of 220V. Needless to say, the heating element (tungsten quartz tube) blew.

I would like to know, if I replaced the heating elements with 220V ones will it work directly with the 220V outlet? Or will other components of the toaster oven give in (thermostat, switch, timer or the wiring)?

The toaster is rated 100V, 1000W. It has two heating element, each labelled 100V, 400W.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum mate.
This is something I wouldn't try without a thorough inspection of the toaster.
For one, I doubt the wires are rated for 220V.... but I could be wrong.

Other parts such as the timer or thermostat may either be damaged, or even if they appear to function, may become dangerous at the higher voltage. Any safety approvals will be invalid. I do not recommend this.
