Quite a simple one. Lets say I want to install 3 electric shower in my home - 10Kw each (120 amps-ish).

Can this be done? My RCD is only 63amps this would need changing obviolusy. The tails can only take 97amps (25mm").

So, how do little B&Bs cope? Pubs with accommodation? There are power showers in every room?

Can someone please explain how this is overcome?

Thanks

They are not domestic installations so will be designed and supplies will be given accordly.

Power showers are only pumps which pump the hot and cold water systems and no heat the water.

Hi all,

Thanks for the info. Cue the grey electrical boxes you see tucked away in the cupboards of B&Bs etc.

I was looking into running the house on an electrical heat on demand system for better efficiency.... looks like a no go unless I use heat on demand with built in small storage tanks.

Thankyou for your replies.

I've answered this before SEVERAL TIMES just try googling SHOWER PRIORITY SWITCH. They are not cheap. It is also possible to make up one yourself. But I would think you would be better fitting a shower pump and then all you would need at each shower point is your mixer valve.Of course you also need some way of heating the water,if you dont want to have stored hot water/immersion heater,or gas......you can get 12kw instantaneous water heater.
