Can anyone help???

Im fitting a new lampost tomorrow and ive just seen the job, the 6mm SWA two core is split which i need to wire into the lampost which is coming out of the ground.
Does anybody have any idea how i can cut the SWA before the split and add a new piece of cable to it, instead of digging the whole carpark up and renewing the whole cable.
:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Use a SWA joint kit
Underground Joint Kit 1 - 2 Way / Through - Resin Joint Kit

Best of luck.

If the split is in the lamp post and not under ground you could terninate it in a galve through box with lid and seals or as has been said and under ground joint and extend the SWA

joint kit all the way wee tip get a Bigger joint than you require (gives more room ) before filling use insulating tape round it and tape over the joins in the casing to prevent leakage USE the pvc gloves as the filler is hellish to get off try to keep it level when ready to fill support it Now GOOD Luck
