Hi im sorry to just drop in like this but i am desperate for some advice about my problem meter.

We have electric storage heaters and an electric boiler, yesterday morning we noticed we had no hot water and no heat from either storage heaters in bedrooms or lounge.
Phone electrician who checked everything then noticed the meter had no display i called eon then edf who came out and checked and told me it was faulty and needed simens to come and replace box. He came and replaced it last night, then i expected to wake up nice and warm this morning but still have nothing. The electric meter display says NO LOAD underneath the numbers.

Anyone have any ideas!!!

Cheers
Jo

the way storage heaters work is they heat up the bricks inside them during the night time whilst it is cheaper electric and then throughout the day the heat the bricks have stored is slowly released so its possible they just need leaving until tonight see if they heat up tonight??

yes possibly but when i turn them back on again in such as in September (after having them off over the summer) it took around 8 hours to heat up. we have waited so far 12 hours and its stone cold not even the a little warm.

Any idea why the new electric meter is displaying NO LOAD ?
