HELP on getting ECS card

Hi peeps. Need a little advice on getting my ECS card I’ve got my 2330 lv2 and 17th edition and will be doing my 2330 lv3 in September.
After phoning the JIB about getting a trainee ecs card they were very unclear and unhelpful. I would like to know if I can get 1 with my qualifications as they said I would have to send copies of my certificates and take a test b4 hand what I don’t want to do is pay for this h&s test and then send my certs off for them to tell me I can not have a ecs card. All over there website it says must have nvq3 but I want a trainee card or should I just get a cscs card witch would be free from my local learning centre. Thanks Gaz

You need to do the Health & Safety test....Go on the ECS website and that will tell you were they are running one near you!! It used to be around £30..but dont know how much it is now!
once youve passed, you will recieve certificate.....you will need to send this in with your quals and you should recieve a white card that says "Trainee".

The nvq 3 is for a jib gold card....you should be working towards this in the future!!

It's as though on the phone they're not interested and they'd rather you get all the information off their wesite, that way they don't have to answer any questions lol

get the labourer jib card mate easler to get with what u have

got a gold card automatically when they were introduced and was free of charge .. how things have changed.

Not quite, you still have to have the quals so I can't see how it's changed.

If you need it for site get a labourer card. Loads if lads have them to save jumping through hoops. I couldn't find all my original Certs from the 80s during my training at GEC and although I've 20 years plus under my belt and worked all over the world they offered me a trainee card. Needless to say I told them how and where to fit said card
