Hi All,

Sam here, first post in the forums although I have been reading them for some time now. I have been given a small job of replacing a PIR detector in a bathroom which is used to switch on/off the ceiling lights. The previous installer connected a large plastic pir detector usually found on an external security light. It looks terrible. The sensor has been positioned approx 2m up the wall next to the door inside the bathroom and controls 6 low voltage eyeball downlights. I have been searching for a suitable alternative detector online and have found myself going in circles, as the detector needs to be black finish and this is proving hard to come by. The current detector has been installed in the middle of the wall tiles, which are black and we just want a direct replacment rather than re-route cabling and have to replace tiles. I have come accross, a black 360 degree ceiling surface mount detector, do you think this would be suitable for wall mounting? I've not had any experience with PIR switches before, this is a first. I'd really appreciate any advice or ideas on this one please and where i might get one with a decent black finish.

Thanks in advance.

Sam
