So I am trying to run power to my shed, problem I have is…….. We have an old type CU with the wire fuses, I already have a light outside but this is fed from a bedroom socket(Main Ring) with a bit of twin & earth 1mm sticking out of the wall and running down the side of the house(Outside) with no protection. Hardly 17th Ed, Probably not even 15th….
What would be my easiest way to get power to the shed? Is it possible to do this without changing the CU??
Thanks in Advance.

Probably easiest thing to do would be put up an RCD switch spur and feed it from that. if you can put it on the outside wall you can install a waterproof box externally and then drill through the wall to the spur

RCD unswitched fused spur next to inside socket, through wall with SWA cable underground, probably 4 - 6mm required depending on length and load at shed. Although if you are an electrician CU change would be more practical with independent circuit to shed.
