help please

hi guys i need a crash course on pv systems and as much info, or point me in the right direction for where to view any books or the like.
never done it before and i need all help that i can get. i know this is a big ask but this is due to a possible start and not sure what will be required of me
i just like to do as much ground work so iam prepared for first meet

Hi Bobby

I did a 7 day City & Guild 2372 two weeks ago at Able Skills in Dartford. Start Monday, three practical assessment (roof install, fault finding, testing) and the C&G exam the following Sunday!

The only criticism I had was that it was a fairly new course and there were a few errors in the course material and a few gaps in the instructors knowledge.

Me plus one did the course from ElectrAssure in a class of 6. It was ideal for us particularly as we both passed.

I'm about to do the c&g 2372 at able skills, it's now a 5 day course and I'm pretty sure they're more clued up now!

Planning and Installing Photovoltaic Systems: A Guide for Installers, Architects and Engineers Planning and Installing Series: Amazon.co.uk: German Solar Energy Society: Books get this and have a look at it before you go things will make more sense on the training if you have. Also make sure you've read all the MCS stuff. If you're better prepared when you got you'll ask more relevant questions rather than wishing you'd been a bit more clued up after the course when it's too late.

I've read all the MCS stuff and the referenced documents and I've got the notes for the course so I'm pretty confident that I can get the very most from it. I'll take a look at that book mind you.

too much to learn and go wrong, get a course, C&G best.
You will need some qualifacation to become accredited which in turn youn need for the customer to claim the FIT.
