Im installing 50 meters of amoured cable, clipped direct outside, the cable size im considering using is a 3 core 4mm, the supply is for a shed ( light and a twin socket) would 4mm be suffient????:confused:

CCC would be fine as it's just one light & one twin socket. VD may be the deciding factor, be worth you doing the calc to make sure.

6mm XLPE good for 45A. allow for future expansion without having to dig 4mm up in a couple of years.

the armoured supply would be on a seperate rcbo in the fuseboard, back entered from outside, thought 4mm would be ok, anybody gud at working it more precisely????, cables damn expensive!!!!

Are you going underground, if not there are alternatives, what the distance involved, TLC website has a volts drop calc in the tech section
