Help required

Hi,

I am a bit confused on how to find/navigate through the BS 7671 17th Edition Green Book to help me to answer the questions in the exam. If you know anything about this, please reply.

Ummm...in approximate order but skipping a few bits, there's a contents page, a definitions section, lots of sections with the actual core regulations in, lots of sections dealing with specific regulations for specific locations, informative appendices, and a honking big index at the back. The contents page tells you where everything is and lays out the structure, and somewhere early on it tells what the logic of the chapter/section/etc. numbering is. All that helps with navigation. Not sure what else to suggest really.

The easiest and quickest way to find anything in there is to use the index in the back of the book. You do frequently need to use your head a bit to work out what something is indexed under.

for example, if it's something to do with boats, you would possibly look up marina.

I have no idea who you are or your background but ideally you need to have a good understanding of the English language and knowledge or alternative definitions to be able to navigate successfully and swiftly through BS7671.

if you are unable to think of alternative definitions or words for the same thing you may struggle to find certain things.

alsi at the front if the book you can see all the sections it split into.

To be honest it's pretty much like looking things up in any book. As stated above, there's an index and a contents section. I'm not sure what else anyone could say to help?? Daz

Use the contents page m8 you can stick those little coloured stickers every where but I ended up ripping them off and stuck to the contents page
