Hi,

I wanted to put a socket next to my washing machine as it is all the way on the other side of the room. For all these years i been using a heavy duty extension cable but now i want to just add one to the wall without doing too much work.

I have put a diagram below, please can someone tell me if i can actually do this? Everything in red is what i am trying to do.
I don't really want to open up an existing socket and wire into that. If i can use a 3 pin plug 13A, it would be much easier for me.

Please can someone advice me and many thanks for reading my message.[ElectriciansForums.net] Help, Socket for washing machine and Hood

Hello
We wouldn’t advise running the washing machine off what is an extension lead.
Your proposed solution would not be satisfactory either.
have you had a local electrician look at this job for you? The cost may not be as much as you think..... or it could be twice what you think!
