HELP Sunny Boy 4000 ti doesnt boot

It say "START LCD V1xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" nothing else - any ideas? Thanks in advance - tried powering down at night nothing.

I think you may need a little more info so the inverter experts can help you.
when was your system installed? what have the install company said? What are the LED lights doing? IE flashing staying on etc...

talk to your installer if they're still in business, sma tech support if not.

Sounds like a probable swap out job to me, but we'd usually test everything else first to be sure.

It was Installed in November 2011 - as its dark now no DC supply no lights on at all currently - when DC was available green light was on according to my wife I asked her to power it off ie drop AC side and she said Green LED was flashing. Trouble is I work away from home when its light so can't see what is happening when it has DC. I wanted to understand what I was looking at in terms of the problem as I can't afford a big bill at the moment. The system has not missed a heart beat in nearly two years. I will contact my installer just wanted to get some background info first.

Just one thought, is your generation meter still adding KW per day?

Your installer is the best one for this though.

I have not checked Job for tomorrow - and I agree I will contact my installer once I know if covered as I do not want to be charged for a new Inverter if covered under warranty. Not suggesting they would as they were very good, however, I was nearly charged for a new Heat Exchanger by a plumber who installed a boiler that failed less then two years to find out Bosch warrantied them for the first two years. Once burnt I am just a little cautious and as I said can't really afford a big bill for something that is less than two years old

SMA usually offer a 5 year warranty as standard so you should be ok if it's faulty.

Let us know what happens and how it gets resolved.
