hi all
got a job to re install an existing heating system.
i have a danfloss three port valve,four wire brown,white-grey-orange-blue
no tank stat
room stat
controler with ho****er only or ho****er and heating
any ideas...ive wired a good few systems but not come across this.

I assume you typed hot water & hot water + heating but forgot the space between words so the swear filter starred it out.

Sounds like a y plan but using the internal boiler thermostats to control temperature of hot water & heating.
 
and.....
my room stat has only a twin so no heating off!!
i have tested one wire on the valve a 148v though...is this a clue

someone must be able to shed some lite on this..
after all its rally just PLUMBING!
ha.
 
ps when i say brown,white i mean one wire is brown and white......one just blue.....one just orange and one just grey....is this any help..
wish it was a honeywell valve!
 
hi all
just to let you all know that it is sorted.
in the end it was just a y plan but because of the lack of a tank stat the mid positon wouldnt work!
fitted one and wired the heating through the hot water satisfied terminal on the tank stat and bingo.
