hi im currently in the navy and in my last 12 months of service and im intrested in becoming a sparkie, i have the following courses availible to meDomestic Electric Installation (ECS Health & Safety - JIB and EAL DEI incorporating Part P)17th edition (C&G 2382–10)Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (City and Guilds 2392–101, City & Guilds Practical assessment 2392-102, City and Guilds 2391–301 and City & Guilds Practical assessment 2391-302.)Inspection and Testing (PAT) of Electrical Equipment (Level 3 CGLI 2377-100 and Level 3 CGLI 2377-200)Certificate in Design, Erection and Verification of Electrical Installations (Level 3) (C&G 2391-20)out of these courses what would be the best to become a qualified sparky on houses etccheers
 
cheers for that fella, will that let me legally work on houses then? got more chance of getting blood out of a stone! just sick of being away all the time and the missis is pregnant, im a stoke mate, take it your an ex matelow?

Hi Ihate............... what do you do in the Navy do you have any electrical quals.
If not you need to start with a Part P full scope course to do domestic work. Next 3 day 2382 wiring regs course. PAT testing is a 1 or 2 day course for testing appliances jobs available often with a franchise company. 2391 is Inspection and testing normally for experienced electricians looking to be promoted with an approved electrical installation contractor.

i have electrical experiance but all i have is an apprenticeship in engineering, cheers for that mate much appreciated
