help with downlights

basically ive been installing some downlights in the living room, a whole 14 of them.

now my problem is i want to dim them, so ideally i need a switch that is capable of 700W

and the most powerful dimmer i can find is only 500W.

so what would be my best option to do here? i never thought that about it until i was looking for a dimmer and most were only rated at 250W.

and i take it a 500W switch would probably burn out?

so what should i do?

Can't you put them on 2 separate circuits,just a thought

not easily, as only have 1 cable to the switch.

ah, i think that would be fine, i didn't realise you can get 35W bulbs, i will have a look in the screwfix now.

can anyone confirm that this is the correct dimmer that i need?, and will be fine with 14 50W GU10's?
