Just doing a EICR report

On the upstairs lighting circuit for some reason they have taken two 1mm t&e up both cables are fine for IR and r1 + r2 both on a the same 6 amp mcb

I cant see it 2 be dangerous does this need a code ?

then it's no problem. although unconventional, there's nothing wrong with it. just get the r1, r2, and rN ( end/end) resistances as well as your R1+R2 for the circuit.

Hold on just because 2 lighting circuits are on the same MCB does not mean they are wired in the form of a ring but of course you would know that because you checked between them right ? or you suspect its a ring which one then

what OT means is-- have you established that it's a ring by measuring end to end resistances o all 3 conductors.

Of course I have, I am not going to look at it say that's a ring it's got 2 cables in mcb.

Anyway thanks for help telectrix, I haven't given it a code, just made a note of it on EICR
