Hello every one how are you all today?

I need a bit of help with filling out electrical installation certificates, I have my unit 307 inspection and testing test (equivalent to the c&g 2394) 2 weeks on Monday and I am very competent in the actual testing I can do all the tests properly but I have never filled out the first few pages of the EiC well I have once, so can any one give me a bit of advice on how to do it or does any one have a good quality filled in EiC that I can look at and try to memorise what to write on the first few pages.

most is self explanatory. just enter in the boxes what it asks for. be more specific.

Basically I have never filled one in I have only ever filed the schedule of tests part in, I was wondering if any one had a sample of a filled in EiC so I know what needs filling in and what doesnt

I am surprised your course tutor didn't go through these and fill them out as a class, we have been doing this recently as a whole class going through each bit.

Are these not filled out in the onsite guide? Ill have a look later when i can get to my books.

Yes the tutor did go through them but it was the week I was Woking away so I missed it, I don't think they are filled in and I would like to see a proper example of a filled in sheet so I know what needs ticking and what doesn't and that

Baker everything needs filled in. You need to read what it's asking and either tick or put N/A as appropriate. No space should be left blank. Only you as the inspector will know which boxes apply to your installation.

Do not look at someone else's filled in sheet. EVERY job is different. You cannot just copy across. The tick sheet (as I call it) google them all.

Speak to your tutor about it.

Front page...description of works done ..
Complete new electrical installation
Complete new install of socket and cooker circuits to kitchen...

Again everyone words it differently.

Characteristics are site specific as well

I would ask your tutor to go through it with you as you missed it. Ask any questions you are unsure about etc.:)

https://www.camscanner.net/share/66fWL/1/w105s07trpzq3

i was told that i am only inspecting and testing it i am not the designer or constructor just tester, also i have left a few blank on the schedule of inspection as i am not sure about these and i am going to look them up thank you

----------EDIT-----------

Just realised that i have missed out the r1 rn r2 readings on the test sheet my mistake i will make sure i put them on also max demand wasn't put on the sheet which i know about to haha will teach me to leave thins till last

page 2. a.c. 2 wire, not 3. it's asking for live conductors only, not earth. page 3. you've put dashes by some. should be ticked or n/a.

test results.... a mess. should have RCD1 in 1st line, then the circuits it serves below with all the readings. same for RCD2. if i have time tomorrow, i'll post a sample.
