Hello all
I have been asked to design and quote a PV system at a domestic property. I have determined I can get 10 250W panels on the roof of the property ( south facing , 30 degrees ) , however they would like to use the flat roof of their garage to mount some additional panels. As I have no experience of a flat roof system I have run into some difficulty with this which hopefully someone could give me some pointers with? I am looking at a Schuco PV light flat roof system. The total space availiable measures 2.5m (on the south side) by 5.2m.
Sorry for all the questions, we are only 2 installs in to our PV career.
Thanks in advance for any help

- Do flat roof systems always require the panels to be installed landscape?
- How do I determine the amout of spacing between rows?
- The installation instructions specify 130kg of weights per m squared of module area. Does module area in this context include the size of the framework also?
- If the panels on the flat roof are at a different incline to those on the roof which are at 30 degrees, how do I connect them to the inverter? Can the string be connected to those on the roof despite the different inclinations?
