bassically the units that you did in 2330 that are in 2357 will be ticked and no need to redo them.

thats what happend to me.

I did 2330 lvl2/3

then all I had to do was an environmental unit to have covered everything in 2357

Yes you can still do it. I did my Level 2 2330 and then it changed that year so my level 3 was 2357 and I received the diploma instead of the certificate at the end. Contact a college about it but it won't be cheap mind, I think my friend enquired about having to pay for just the NVQ3 portfolio and it was like ÂŁ1000, so to complete the entire Level 3 2357 which includes exams, portfolio and usually AM2, (which you have to complete to get the 2357 diploma) won't be cheap at all.

it depends though I didnt pay a dime for mine, because I registered for level 3 before I was 18 it was free.

my nvq was paid for by jtl

True but adult learners are classed as 19 and above so it doesn't leave much hope unless he's still under 19. Although you can actually get funding for over 19 but may take a bit of phoning around to colleges to get that funding, depends what money they have left after all the under 19s have signed up to start their apprenticeships. I managed to get mine funded too, felt good when I saw the 5k bill I should have got

That was the thing with jtl they did the leg work on my part.

my current employer doesnt like taking on anyone under 18 as he finds them too much trouble

If you are working as electrician mate then the 2357 is the way to go, BUT if you are not then you can do the 2365 level 3, which is 1 year. Then once you are working you can do the NVQ3 and AM2 to become a qualified electrician.

That sucks, the under 18s are best for pulling pranks on, fetch me the left handed conduit bender and the elbow grease.

I don't understand this at all, ...since when was C&G 2330 ever a Level 2 qualificaion?? Or are you saying that you only completed a part of the that core C&G 2330 Level 3 course?? If so ....Why??

There were 3 levels to 2330

All with seperate completetion certs.

The smart kids only do level 2/3 the not so smart do level 1 first so it takes them 3 years instead of two
