My dad has got an oldish type board, the breakers are like mcbs but they're not mcbs? Like fuses, no writing on them.

He wants a shower putting in, theres no RCD.

Does this mean a 17th board? (Board change)

Thanks

You need to work to 17th edition think you best bet is to fit seperate small modular board in for shower and just confirm equipotential bonding and main earth are good and supplementary bonding in bathroom is brought up to date as i doubt their is any by the sound of it, and fitting a new consumer unit with rcd protection on all circuits means you will have to do a pir first if customer (dad) can afford.
