Morph get on the phone to Napit and shout at them, if you know anything at all about PIR codes then you will know its not all abot clear and present danger but also potential to cause danger, So there is a insulated CCU 200mm of the floor, I pass it, she hits it with the hoover and sucks up the bit that falls off, she doesnt notice or forgets, she sells the flat, kids move in, one pokes his finger in and he's dead, who inspected it last........??? answer Me..........judge "why didnt he spot the potential danger if was competent?2...

so why is it a building reg. to fit light switches at 1200mm, within the reach of a child? should these then be metal and lockable too?

:behead:

no offense but the purpose of a pir is to state facts not what ifs or thats happen in the future

what happens if the child finds the key, or a hammer or screwdriver, could you not tell the customer to use a rubbery hoover

i'm just wondering how anybody could get a hoover to hit something 8" off the floor without throwing it.

Perhaps that devil of a child will disconnect the gas meter as well whilst he's dismantling the electrics

It seems people these days are getting influenced by the mindset of the worst of the H+S freaks

If its bashable there could be future problems with out of control Hoovers. other than that,if its in good nick, just make a comment on the potential bashability

Flooding would give more rise to concern for me, if it were that type of area

if my child strated messing with electrical equipment. first he'd have a sore arse, then he'd be enrolled on the 2330

if the hallway floods i would rather have an all insulated rather then metalclad incase i need something to hang on to !

so.... the conclusion is a fully insulated lockable, metalclad CU, rated IP68..... sorted.

Now thats what I call wisdom and discipline all rolled into one

If got a board change on friday, it's located under the stairs next to the meter. I've never really thought about it, but would this not comply??

Door for under stairs is not locked.

and under the stairs, in the dark, is where we used to put naughty children!!!
