Hi,

Need some help understanding the wiring of the bathroom lights at my place (in Singapore). I had a look at the wires near where the light bulbs are and couldn't make sense of the pairs of what I assume to be neutral (black) and ground (green/yellow):

The left side I assume is coming from distribution box (power source). But I would assume there's only 3 x wires (live, earth, neutral). Why are there 2 x lines each for earth and neutral?

The light switch for this pair of lights are also wired with one terminal having 2 x lines connected into it. Being yellow line.. I think it's the "live" line.

Why is it connected with 2 x wires into one of the terminal? (as pictured)

Without tracing the wiring, one can only guess.
Neutral and earth from the black connector, and the (presumably permanent) live from the switch, give you the three connections necessary for another accessory. Perhaps they go to power another light somewhere else?
Or if the yellow is on the switched side, perhaps they go to power a fan in the bathroom?
