Help.............................................. ...

S

stekel

Right so ive been working on a load of worksheets for my 2365 and been fine with most of them. BUT these 2 questions have my mind boggled. Ive tried all ways and cant seem to get it. Can someone please help with them.

The way you work it out would be a great help guys

1. three resistors of 0.012, 0.015 and 0.008, respectively are connected in parallel across a 2.4 volt dc supply calculate.

1. the current flowing in each resistor
2. the current in each section of the circuit
3. the total current drawn from the supply

2. Three resistors are connected in parallel across a dc supply. The values oif two resistors are 12 ohms and 18 ohms. If the 18 ohm resistor has a current of 18 amp flowing in it and the total current drawn from the supply is 81 amp calculate

1. The supply voltage
2. The value of the current flowing in each resistor
3. The value, in ohms of the third resistor

Your help would be so appreciated

Thanks
Steve

1. work out the combined resistance using 1/Rt = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 then use ohms law to calculate total current. then use ohm's law and kirchoff's law for the rest.

2. use the same laws.

now show us what you get when you have a go.

1.1 What is the Voltage across each resistor? Then use Ohm's Law.
1.2 & 1.3 Simple addition
