dose anyone know how too wire up a key switch on emerganice lighting , key switch being next to the board. ( feed,switch feed,perm feed,neutral)

hi mate its not something i have come across yet mate but i would imagine you would need a high integrity c/u and hard wire it without a rcd due to the nature of its perpose

havent done one since college but im sure its just a permenant feed from mcb into the switch then feed out into light fitting

cant even remember what markings are on the back of the switch.....

thats what you get doing house bashing for so long lol

Key switches are normally double pole so its line/neutral in, line/neutral out to EM's.

And yes, they will need RCD protection if T&E and normal installation methods are used.

All that the switch will do is, when operated, simulate a loss of power.
