Hi guys,

Have a problem that Im a bit worried about.

Wired a house with the following -

3no ring finals
3no lighting circuits
1no cooker circuit
1no shower circuit.

About to go on holiday and the builder wants a 16A supply for the boiler, got one of the boys to go and pull it in no problems.

Gone to start 2nd fixing and it was actually a 63A supply, for heating and also a 40A supply.
Shower circuit was re routed to cover 40A supply and a new 16mm was pulled in to cover 63A whilst I was away.

Ive worked out roughly that lighting circuits would carry about 4A each.

But now im worried about loading, IF ive done my calculation right im well over.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Steven

Well I would look to reduce loading via the rings, you just dont need 3 rings in a house, IMO maybe one 32A ring for the kitchen and then two 16A radials for the reception rooms downstairs and the bedrooms, If you convert two of the rings to 16A radials (check the circuit length - approx 40m with 2.5/1.5 type B) then you would be using 12.8 amps on Max demand/diversity calcs instead of 25.6 amps.......i think

i suppose the above alterations depends on what the customer wants and size of house
