Help!

I've recently had a 4kw Solar PV system fitted...Two months later..as it's got sunnier My main fuse board is tripping...8 times a day during the day...I will obviously contact the installers but does anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe he has wired it up wrong, many systems have been installed on the RCD side of the consumer unit, which can cause problems, if you could post some pictures that would help.

on the side of the inverter there is a sticker can you take a pic and post it, also how many strings have they wired??

invent time machine, go back in time, contract installers who know what they're doing, have no need to post this thread now.


fiver says they've installed the system to the wrong side of an RCD also covering the household circuits, and the minor earth leakage from the inverter (usually around 8-10 mA) is combining with some other minor earth leakage in the house to cause the RCD to trip.
