Can anyone help me with this question?

"How many watts are being consumed in a circuit with 0.2 amps flowing through 100 ohms of resistance"

thats all there is to the question if there was voltage stated it would not be so hard.

you have to work out the voltage using OHMs law before doing the power calc. Theres a hint and i am not doing homework.

V=IxR
P=IxV

Sorry Mac but that formula is wrong mate.

v = IxR = 0.2 X100 = 20Volts
P= IxV = 0.2 X 20 = 4 watts

I would only use the iIsquared R formula when i have a power factor to devide it by.

this would also give you the true power. So i guess im giving myself the answer, i couldnt see it for looking at it. Do you guys remember this or is there something you refer to for formulas. Ohms law is straight forward enough to remember its just the more complex ones im refering to.

jboy this is the BASICS as you learn more you will just remember it.
