did a tes on rcd to get the tripping times, put metrel meter on auto and it tripped the rcd but no times came up on the meter. polarity is correct and Ze is good . all terminations are good . Is it a faulty rcd even though it trips.?

same settings at home as the one that I am testing. 1 works 1 doesntHave you set it to the correct mA rating? it could be a 10mA,100mA etc and you have your kit set to 30mA?
Have you "ramp" tested the RCD with no load attached to the circuit?
