Was at a customers house tonight, putting a couple of new lights up. On the way in and out to the van the upstairs smoke alarm would sound. She then informed me that every time she goes in and out of the house the smoke alarm goes off. It's a wooden floor and I noticed that when you stand on a particular floor board the alarm does sound! I informed her that it may be a nail shorting the cable but thought about it on the way home and thought this to be unlikely as all the cables would be running above the ceilings not under the ground floor.
Anyway as it's a housing executive house, I told her to contact them and get them to get one of their guys out to investigate. Lucky escape!! Lol. I also informed her that if a burglar breaks in during the night, she will be aware of it! Lol.
Anyhow, I was quite intrigued by this as it's the first time I have seen something like it!
