Working at the University of Liverpool you will be an active participant in the maintenance and installation of electrical equipment. You will work in a wide range of buildings from very old Victorian buildings to housing and brand new buildings.
A normal day would include:
• Reporting to the electrical supervisor
• Working alongside existing crafts persons on the maintenance and repair of electrical systems on the Liverpool campus and off-site locations - this may be lighting systems or electrical equipment such as motors, pumps and ventilation fans
• Assisting the team for emergency repairs as necessary
• Assisting in small installation works
• Working with the computer controlled Building Management System (BMS)
• Fire alarm and emergency light testing

What you could go onto do:
On successfully completing your apprenticeship you will have access to internally advertised opportunities at the University of Liverpool. This apprenticeship offers progression onto level 3 after completion of your level 2.
How you will be supported:
Full training and support will be provided by expert training and assessment staff for example The Growth Company.
