Hi, I know there is already threads on here about risk assessment and method statements - but I thought I would put this in just to get may thread going. Has anyone come across a decent package for the above that is not overly pricey (or free ;-) ). I primarily carry out domestic work and have been doing the above with a visual and discussion with the customer. Now with apprentice in tow I need something in paper for both his college course and to bang the obvious into his young wandering mind.

Hope you can help and thanks for a great forum!

Welcome to the forum, Unfortunately Risk assessments and method statements really need to be individually set up for your circumstances, it is no good saying use a scaffold if you do not have a scaffold!
Probably the easiest thing you can do is search the forum for templates for RAMS and modify these templates to be appropriate to your business.

You would need to assess the depth of detail you would need to provide to properly cover the job and also cover yourself when your apprentice does something silly.
Generic risk assessments can be OK for domestic work so long as you also state that the circumstances of the job must be compared to the risk assessment to ensure that a new RA is not required in these circumstances.
Similarly with method statements.

Just make sure that you details what you actually do not what you would do in ideal circumstances, otherwise they are fairly pointless.
Though what you actually do does have to be safe!
