Hi, been a member for a few weeks, could use some advice

Hi, since i joined the forum I have been very impressed with the usefulness of the information people offer and have learnt so much. I'm new to the PV industry and could do with some advice.
Since joining the industry I have been sent invites to courses, both free and expensive (I have to admit some have seemed quite reasonably priced) but none seem to set any aims and objectives so that following the course I could judge if it had achieved what it set out to do. I need to attend a good roof survey course, can anyone recommend somewhere?

not sure what you mean by a roof survey course.
To do a structural survey you need to be a structural engineer, so start with a 3 year degree and work on from that!
If you mean working on the roof then that is usually part of your solar course, although any competent tradesman can work on most roofs no problem. I used to use specialist roofers, but don't anymore.
It's only the likes of slate that might require specialist knowledge.

Barbone -not sure were you live - but Ploughcroft do roof training and i thought it was good at the time. Solar Installation Training Courses - Solar Fitting, PV, Thermal
