hi having conducted continuity test on ring main readings are L-L(R1-R1)=0.21 N-N(Rn-Rn)=695 E-E(CPC-CPC)=0.35. small ring main 8 sockets in total 1 spur not causing rcd to trip and when each socket is tested when live with sok 32 no faults any ideas why neutral reading so high?????.

halving the ring matey. guess the mid point in the ring, and connect L-N from one half of the ring together at the board. then test at the socket. If you get a high reading (you already know its not the live), then you know which half of the ring the problem is in. you then follow the same step again to halve that half of the ring, til you find problem. if no problem on this half of ring, then follow same steps but on other half of ring!:)

As above almost certainly just a bad connection in one of the sockets.....if any have been altered since the original install start there....but with just 8 points shouldnt be too hard to find.
