Hello All
I have been testins a ring main and I have a reading or r1 15.57 Ohms

r2 0.90 and rn 0.50 why is the phase so high I have been to most sockets and tightened the phase any other ideas please:(

Check you havent tightened on the insulation as oppose to tha core, done it myself b4 now m8 and spent a gud hour scratchin me head!!

Definately sounds like a high resistance joint on r1 there somewhere......could be a hidden JB somewhere, double check all sockets on that ring making sure you havn't clamped the insulation in the terminal, re-test and go from there.

Thanks guys 8.00am tomorrow another go I know it sounds stupid but will it read different if the loads are still connected (Higher)
