I've done a bit of searching online but no clear answer as of yet, was wondering if one of you guys could help.

I've been asked to do an alarm installation in a house that is classed as HMO (Home Multiple Occupancy) in short, is there anything specific I need to be doing or will the following comply with regulations -

Heat Detector in Kitchen
Carbon Monoxide Detector near any Gas Fires / Boiler / Cooker etc
Smoke detector on each floor (3 floor) within 7.5 metres of Living Room / Kitchen and within 3m of all bedrooms.

All interlinked.

Would that be ok?

This varies from local authority, Call the local council man and ask what he would like installed for your client to get his permit

Last one I did was a grade D LD1.

The one before that wanted full Grade A LD1 with Emergency lighting as it was 3 stories and 8 bedrooms.

Secret is to ask.......

I think thats the safest way, Sometimes they can be so funny about what they want and wont issue licence without it.

And then on the next one they want barely nothing.....does my head in!!!!
