Im doing a HNC at my local college and I am looking for some indepth info on the subject magnatisum ,here are some of the questions,
Using a diagram explain the term magnetic field.
List the properties of magnetic flux lines.
Using a magnet and iron filings, carry out a practical experiment to demonstrate the presence of a magnetic field.
Sketch the lines of magnetic force around the magnet and compare them with expected theoretical results.
Explain the term Magnetomotive force.
Explain the term magnetic field strength and give the symbol for such.
Explain the term permeability and the relationship between flux density (B) and field strength (H).
Plot B-H curves for at least three different materials such as mild steel and silicon iron
If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great, cheers.

So indepth that you can't spell MAGNETISM..... id be inclined to address this error as it makes you look a little silly from the offset, it will aid you finding the relevant sites if you spell it correctly :wink5:

Wow! The HNC appears to have been seriously dumbed-down since I did it back in the day, most of topics you have listed were part of the ONC syllabus at that time and "Using a magnet and iron filings, carry out a practical experiment to demonstrate the presence of a magnetic field." was O level Physics.

That was part of the B certificate in the 70's klet alone ONC and HNC, they mustn't have half made the courses easy
